WEBSTER, DOBSON & CO.'S REPORT.
At Strathmore on Monday, 9th inst., we held our usual monthly sale, meeting a fair yarding of cattle and sheep. There was a good attendance and competition was fairly keen, every pen being sold at the hammer or after. We quote : Heifers and calves, £4 Us to £4 15s ;in-calf heifers, £3 19s; fat cows, £6 10s; store cows, £4 Is to £4 19s 6d; buH, £3 ss; forward ewe's, Us 6d to 12s lOd; cull ewes, 7s 10s.
At Stratford on Tuesday, 10th inst., we had a full yarding, competition was brisk, and almost every pen was sold at the hammer. Weaner steers, 26s 6d to 30s; weaner heifers, 13s to 235; 20-months steers (with color), 50s to 58s; empty heifers, £2 12s 6d to £3 Os 6d; bulls, £4 ls to £7 lis; lambs, Us; cull do., 5s to 5s 6d; store cows (old), £2 is to £3; fresh do.. £3 10s to £4 10s; forward do, £4 15s to £5 19s; fat do., £6 3s to £6 12s,
