NAPIER, March -5. (A. faitality occurred at Puketiitiiri, about 35 males inland from .Napier, whereby a single man named Allen Nicholson, 23 years old, lost his life. Nicholson was driving a traction-en-gine, bringing two truck loads of timber to town, and when an embankment, about a mil© along the road was reached, the steering chain oarried away and the engine went over the side, dragging a truck with it into a gully 12 feet deep. 'The engine turned completely over. Nicholson was struck ©n the head and instantly killed.
