WELLINGTON, Feb. 6. Competition at the moo] sales to-day was extraordinarily keen. Twenty-one thousand bales were offered. Compared with last January rates ordinary Bradfords showed a id increase, pieces Jd to id advance, and lambs £d to fd advance. Against this, a factor to be taken into account is that the wool is lighter in grease and to a certain extent many lots are cotted and seedy.
