PALMERSTON N., Jan. 29. Five cases of burglaries have been reported to the police on both sides of the Manawatu River, near Palmerston. In each, instance the theffts have not been extensive, being chiefly confined to small sums of money and door keys. The houses have been entered while the occupants were absent, and in some instances, apparently, during the daytime. - .
