The Government" Meteorologist telegraphed at 1.30 p.m. as follows: Northerly strong to gale, and veering by west to south after 24 to 36 hours; expect dull weather with much mist and fog in parts; rain probable; barometer falling, but rising after 36 hours •, tides and sea increasing.
