■ * , CIRCUIT QUARTERLY MEETING. The circuit quarterly meeting of the officials of the Methodist Church wa.s held at Normanby on Wednesday evening. Most places were represented. ; The Rev. E. O. Blamires presided, and gave a welcome to several who took their seats as officials for the first ■ time. During the year there have been a i large number of removals. Still the returns show an increase of thirty members. Reference was made to the great success of the Mission of Inspir.ation and Appeal, and the deepening of the spiritual tone in the church. The conference is to be held in Dun- [ edin, and Mrs .E. O. Blamires was j unanimously appointed to represent > the circuit. j, Messrs E. Dixon and L. S. Barra- . elough, circuit stewards, were thanked > for past services and -were; re-elected. : The Young Women's Bible Class is to be written to and thanked for their generous help in giving £10 and £5 to Home and Foreign Missions. " /The circuit stewards stated that with the help «f the Bible Class they had heen enabled to send £45 to the Home Missions treasurer and £30 to the Foreign Missions treasurer. ' The conference is to be written to expressing appreciation of the . goed work done by the Maori Deaconess, ! Sister - Nellie, in the South Taranaki district. , Mr J. P. Keen reported that thePipe Organ Committee had paid £130 deposit on th« instrument: Mr H! Finlay was unanimously elected society steward at Tokaora. i ■-■'': The Normanby Church officials were ' congratulated on the successful effort | held 'en behalf of their trust. , The chairman, reported that snbpastors had been appointed at Hai wei-a to assist the Minister.
