ARMAMENTS QUESTION.
PARIS, Jan. 7. The newspapers pessimistically comment on Mr Lloyd George's speech. M. Clemenceau, in an "article in •L'homme Libre, contrasts the Governmental organisation of Germany and England, and pictures the diplomacy which leads Mr Lloyd George to begin preparations, for a national defeat when everything points to Turkey aseuming the offensive under the guidr ance of Germany.
