WORLD'S DISTURBANCE.

A BISHOP'S SPEECH,

BT CABLE-^-PBESS ASSOCIATION—COPYBIGHT. Received Dec. 26, 11 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. 26. The Bishop of London, preaching in Fulham Church, and referring to armaments abroad, strikes in Britain, threatened civil war in Ireland and suffragetism, remarked that the church itself was face to face with a dispute which, unless properly, firmly and delicately I handled, may split it in twain. They must face, not exaggerate, facts, and not pray for peace at any price. Better a Balkan war than a thousand years of oppression; better industrial unrest than the chains of slavery; better hot discussion in church if they only found in the end upon what principles the Church was founded.
