EUGENIC HUSBAND.
Now that a man possessing every requirement for a eugenic marriage has been found in the person of' Mr Martin D. Bowen, a wealthy resident of Denver, Colorado, mucn speculation has been aroused, says the New York correspondent of the Daily Telegraph, as to wno shall be chosen as the morally, physically, and mentally perfect woman. Since the details of the prospective eugenic bridegroom's physiognomy have , been published broadcast^ feminine applications have notably increased, and yesterday fully 50 letters were received by Dr. Hunter, secretary of the State Board of Health, who proposed, the eugenic: test. Miss Ollie fiorahan, a Chicago stenographer, wrote: —"I am willing, even anxious, to enter into any sort of marriage contract, whether eugenic or not." She stipulates, however, that the prospective hubby must have a fortune. A suggestion comes from a republic (Ohio) village of 500 inhabitants that the officials will surely find a perfectly eligible pair there, because, according tp the latest statistics, the village has 50 widows, 20' widowers, 14 bachelors, and 18 spinsters.
