WOOL.
The wool market has fallen from id to id per pound since the last December sales, and it is reported that growers. who did not sell then but held on and offered their wool privately have not been able to sell at; prices on a level with the December rates. There has to be taken into account the heavier condition of the wool this season, and also the fact that in the opinion of a section of the trade the quality generally is inferior to that of last season. The following are the exports and sales of wool for the five months ended 30th November, as compiled by Dalgety *and Co. : Exports, 51,739 bales; offered, 14,393 bales; sold, 11.811 bales. For the corresponding period of 1912 65,869 bales were exported; also 19,572 bales were offered and 19,532 were sold.—Wellington Post. .
