NORMANBY.
Notwithstanding the very, bad weather theye was a good housJß on Tuesday evening, when the pupils of the Normanby School gave their Annual entertainment. As usual the little.1 ones wei c well trained in their; various parts ' and all them helped to make" a teaflj good evening's amusemebt. ;t^h^re all did so well.it would be1 unfair to make special mention of any; particular item, it being sufficient .to say that those who braved the elements and attended at the hall were thoroughly delighted with the efforts of the children. A word of praise must be given to the mistress, Miss Cody, and her assistants, Missesr Tait,- Reeve, and 'Purnell, to whose careful training the success of the' entertainment Is due.
Owing to the very wet weather the annual picnic, which was to have taken place on Wednesday,'was postponed unxill Friday next, when the committee will b6 pleased to welcome all parents and friends at-Victoria-Park. -
