(Received Dec; 16, 11.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, Dec. 16. • A feature of Saturday's polling was the large increase of votes in; every instance, at the second as oomparea wjth the first ballots. The result was a surprise even to the Laborites themselves. The loss of such confirmed Liberal centres as "Willbnghby. Waverley, Saint George, and Hartsville, in view of the position after the first ballot, was quite / wn expected.
