INCENDIARISTS SUED FOR DAMAGES.
BT CABLE—PBESS ASSOCIATION—COPrBIGfIT. (Received Dec. 16, 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. 15. "Sylvia Pankhurst has been released. The proprietress of the Kew Gardens tea pavilion sued • Olive Wharry and Lilian Lenton, suffragettes, for damages due to -the burning of the pavilion. One of the defendants admitted starting the fire and the case was settled by the suffragettes paying compensation. A timber yard^at'Devonport has been burnt; damage, £12,000. A notice tied to a. post read: "In revenge for Mrs PanKiiurst's(^arrest. > if, ' , A meeting of the Women's Social Political Union sent 'a telegram to the King imploring for Mrs Pankhurst's release. •"■>■....
