At tine Police Court, John JSobbs, aged. 23, and George Bowles, aged 22, admitted that they had damaged three motor launches ania stolen three tins of. benzine. They denied the- theft of a quantity of jewellery. . ; : - The chief detective stated 'that accused had found their way here with the proceeds of a robbery committed | in another part of the Dominion ._ They, conceived the idea of proceeding to Australia, and took possession of^ biotor launches, and annexed the bejnzine from another craft. ~ A charge of theft of jewellery: was adjourned. On the other charges accused were^sentenced to three mctaths' hard labor T ,
