ALLEGATIONS AGAINST SPECIALS.

CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. 10. Specials are alleged to have hustled labor leaders at Lyttelton last night and tried to prevent his supporters carrying Sir McCoombs to the railway platform: also that they attempted to, prevent McCoombs returning thanks from the platform. The interference of uniformed constables on behalf of the candidate prevented the situation betoming ugly. Proceedings are threatened on behalf of a woman whom it is alleged was struck with a baton when attempting to reach a train with her husband and child.
