AGRICULTURAL LABORERS' WAGES.

LONDON, Dec. 9. Mr Asquith, at the National Liberal Club, said the weapons of trade unionism were not effective enough to deal with '' agricultural laborers' wages, which were totally inadequate to satisfy decent humane existence, and the' State must undertake to secure them a living wage. The Government would relieve the local authorities of liabilities in connection with- housing and also give the laborer a chance to become a small holder. •
