A match between the Stratford and Eltham clubs was played on Thursday on the Eltham green. The banner competition resulted in a tie, each club scoring. 71 points. Three rinks then played off arid in the last shot of the game the Stratford skip, McDonald, scored 3, thus giving Stratford a lead of 2, and a point for the Banner. On the aggregate Eltham won the gam© by 110 to 102. On the Hawera green, club competitions hare commenced. •■" C. E. Bollard won the first championship game, beating Foy, last year s winner, by 17 to 14. In the pairs, Foy and Curtis beat Parrington; and Henson by 28 to 17; and R. Hicks and Kee,n beat C. E. Hollard and Tarirant by. 32 to 15.
