The Hope of Hawera Juvenile Temple No. 18, held its usual monthly meeting in the Oddfellows' Hall on Tuesday. Sister Mrs Cumming, superintendent, presided and there was a large attendance of boys and girls. Bro. D. C. Cameron (of Dunedin) organiser for the Order, was officially received and welcomed. The juveniles rendered a short and interesting programme. Bro. Cameron gave an instructive address on the pledge, which is against alcoholic liquor, gambling, use of profane language, and smoking. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to the organiser, who congratulated the superintendent and the adult members on having 6uch a flourishing Temple, and conveyed the hearty good wishes and greetings of Sister Cameron, who has charge of the juvenile department for the Dominion. The adult lne.nbers afterwards held an informal meeting, when it was decided to hold a meeting of the "British Workman Lodge, No. 189," on next Wednesday evening. Bro. Cameron, organiser, will attend and take charge of the Lodge meeting.
