STATE TOWNSHIP'S FINANCE.
ROTORUA'S BALANCE SHEET
A balance sheet of the Rotorua State township, prepared by the Tourist Department for the information of Parliament, shows that last year the expenditure in salaries and maintenance totalled £19,145, exceeding the revenue by nearly £500. Losses were made on the running of the baths and sanatorium, but the popular round trip, which cost £1091 in the way of salaries and upkeep of launches, returned £3056 in revenue.
