Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Wellington, have received the following: cablegram from their London office under, date of Friday, 3rd iusfc: Wool sales continue firm and active, with brisk ■competition. As compared with last sales' closing rates scoured merinos are par to 5 per ccpt. higher. Sliped wools are unchanged, partly owing to American competition. Fine and medium greasy crossbreds are 2£ per cent, to 5 per cent, higher, and coarse crossbreds 5 pir cens. higher.
