TRADES UNION AIMS.

LONDON, Sept. . At the Trades Union Congress at Manchester, a resolution was carried urging a widespread movement to enforce the limitation of piiblic purchases to goods made by unionist labor, also that the Government be urged to legislate for the payment of workers on all statutory holidays. A resolution to nationalise mines and railways was carried by 1,944,000 votes against 43.000. A resolution was also adopted in favor of the extension of the franchise to all adults.
