The Herald predicts that, owing to the death of Mr Kelly, and the con&e--quent critical state of the parties there will be an early and abrupt termination to the State session. Mr Holm an vouchsaved no reply to a ■question in the Assembly whether he •was in a position to contradict the pei'sistent statements that the session -was .going to end next week. Mr Wade's question whether it was intended to issue a writ for the vacant seat also feil■ed to draw information. The Herald, adds that it is understood that the caucus has issued a ukase to the Miristry that m view of the closeness of the Parliament should close without delay.
