GAS EXPLOSION.
FOXTON, June 20
A gas explosion occurred in a portion of a brick building just about to be occupied by.Mr Walls,,a baker, yesterday afternoon. Woi-kmen were engaged on the building and smelt gas escaping and a plumber applied a match to the joint and immediately an explosion occurred, shattering a huge plate glass window in front of the shop, a. fanlight in the kitchen, and.tearing portions of asbestos ceilings from two rooms. No one was seriously injured. A cracked pipe was the cause of the leakage. Damage was done to the extent of £30 or £40
