At the last euchre party the ladiesprize was won by Mrs. J. Hearn, and the men's by Mr R. Price. For the dance that followed Miss S. Gardner supplied first-class music, and extras were played by Miss G. Bootten. ; The annual meeting of the hall committee was well attended, and the report and balance-sheet were read and considered satisfactory, "the year's work reslting in a considerable reduction of the debt. The following were,, nominated for the hew committee : — Messrs. G. Wilson. Guy, K. McL. Dowio. .A. Luxton, Jno. O'Sullivan, Bootten, Thatcher, Gardner E. Harrison, Peatson,. Price, and M; Brown. A ballot was taken and* resulted in the first nine being .elected^ At the committee meeting held shortly after, Mr A. Guy was re-elected chairman, and Mr G. Wilson secretary and treasurer. It was decided to discontinue the euchre parties for a while, the last three having resulted in a loss. It was resolved to hold a plain and fancy dress ball next month m aid of the hall funds, the date to be arranged and advertised, and to engage Mr and Mrs Beesley to supply the music.
