The Manaia and Tennis and Croquet Tm^TlT^w ? w'? s held iri the lown Hall on Wednesday evening. The exceptionally hue weather induced a arge attendance of dancers and onlookers, lhe stage was tastefully decorated with flowers, ferns, and fia-s by Mesdames Bennett and Christie, lhe ladies of the clubs provided the supper, which for variety and excellence left nothing to be desired. Messrs R, b. Craig 0 Young, and C. Allison controlled the floor, and the music by Cosgrove's Orchestra was up to its usual high standard. The general excellence and completeness of all the arrangements were due to the efforts of a large contingent of willing workers under the leadership of the energetic secretary, Mr Geo. Meuli. Dancinrr was kept up till a late hour, and a very enjoyable evening was spent
