Hie -Government Meteorologist telegraphed at 1 p.m. to-day as follows: — Variable and strong breezes, but east to.south-easterly strong to gale preraling; weather conditions threatening; touch rain is to be expected; barometer has falling tendency, but rising after about 16 boars; sea considerable oft shore-; tides moderate.
