STRIKERS' RIOT.
LONDON. June 10. A \vorkman named Brandenburg was returning from a chicory factory in Stettin, Germany, when he was molested by strikers. In the melee Brandenburg mortally wounded some workmen by stabbing them in the abdomen witli a breadknife, and when the crowd demanded that he should surrender and the police refused to release him from their ' protection, the factory, to which the ! man had returned, was stormed. i The officers of the law were obliged to draw their revolvers and swords, and ;' in the fight which followed 10 policej men and 69 of the strikers were injured.
