ARNITRATION COURT.

..WELLINGTON, June 17. The Arb'tration Court delivered judgment in the ease in which the City Cor-poration.-appealed against two convictions l)y Dr McArthur, S.M., for "breaches of the Tramway Employees' Act in regard to the employees at the power house. In dismissing the appeals the Court held that through a flaw in the Arbitration Amendment Act, 1911, an appeal could not be made from the Magistrate's Court to the Supreme or Arbitration Court unless the amount of the claim exceeded £50, whereas in the present case, only £10 was claimed in respect to each breach. The Court added that whereas the d-raftsman had intended to enlarge the right of appeal he had curtailed it.
