BT TELEGRAPH —PEEBB ASSOCIATION j DUNEDIN, June 17. j A heated discussion took place at the I meeting of the committee of the Otago { Rugby Union concerning the allegations : of rough play in the Alhambra-Kaikorai ' senior match on Saturday. j The chairman. Mr Harris, who was : not present at the match, said that he ! had been deluged with deputations that morning, and from what he could gather : the play had been unnecessarily rough | From what he had been told, the referee ' would have been justified in closing the game. , Members of the Committee who were :at the match, said that the play wa,s | unnecessarily rough, but stated their inability to give the names of the players concerned. ' It was decided to request the captain and denuty-captains of the Alhambra ; teapi, the captain and Dryden, of the Kaikorai team, nnd a member of the I committee of each club, the referee and ' Choyce (who was ordered off) to attend i the next meeting. {
