The advisableness of raising a loao for.harbor works was freely discussed, and ultimately it was decided, oh the motion of Mr Moore, seconded by the Chairman- "That Mr Cyrus Williams be asked to state the ternis upon which he would visit Opunake to consult with the Board with regard to going into the question of harbor improvements for Opunake." Votes of sympathy were passed to Mrs Forsyth and family, Mrs Ching and family, and Lady Guinness in their lecent bereavements. It was observed that Mr Forsyth was actively connected with harbor matters for a great number of years, Mr Ching^. w-ae sme^of the rrost energetic workers ih *'~3oauect:on with the passing of the Harbor. Bill, and Sir-Arthur Guinness had beeri particularly attentive to the several deputations on their different visits to Wellington.
