GIFT TO LONDON HOSPITAL.
LONDON, June 4. The secretary of the London Hospital received a pleasant surprise to-day. Entering •■ a private room he noticed a brown paper parcel lying on the table. As the packet did not bear any ad- ) dress it remained untouched until some- j one suggested that it had been possibly put there by the suffragettes, and that it might contain a bomb or two. . The parcel was then promptly but cautiously opened, when it was discovered that its coutentts' -consisted not of bombs,; but of bonds to the value of £io,ooo • •";■'•>■' ' There was no clue, however, as to the giver of this~munificent gift. According to one of the hospital attendants, the parcel was brought to the institution by some ordinarily dressed gentleman, who having deposited the package where it was found, went away without speaking to "anyone.
