ATTEMPTED SUICIDE.

AUCKLAND, June 5. When Sergeant Manigan was on duty in Karangahape road on Tuesday he was informed that a man, Alfred Hutchinson, had cut his throat. Upon arrival at the house the officer found the man lying on the verandah with a blood saturated handkerchief tied round his throat. He stated that he had tried to cut his throat with a table 'knife, and was sorry, that he had not used a razor. Accused has been remanded for a week for medical treatment.
