SALE OF HEREFORD CATTLE.

WANGANUI, April 25. One of the largest dispersal sales ever held in New Zealand commenced at Wanganui yesterday, when MiFrank Moore, of Bushy Park, Kai Iwi, offered at auction his famous herd of three hundred stud and one hundred and twenty grade Hereford cattle. Buyers from Australia and from all parts of New Zealand, including Taranaki, Wairarapa, Hawke's Bay, Marlborough, and Auckland, were in attendance. To-day one hundred and fifty pedigree cows and calves were disposed of. Bidding was spirited and prices ranged from 20 guineas to 120 guineas. The Ensign cow Leonora 58th, brought the top price, being knocked down to Mr H. M. Campbell, M.P., at 120 guineas. Mr Sole, of New Plymouth, was the only Taranaki purchaser.
