Mails will close at the Post Office, Hawera, as under:— For Auckland and North, per steamer, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, at 5 p.m.; and daily, per "train, at 8.50 a.m. For Wellington and South, daily, at 8.50 a.m. and 11.25 a.m. and 3.55 p.m. THURSDAY, JANUARY 16. For United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, United States of America, West Indies, Central America and Canada, via Vancouver, also Fiji, Hawaiian Islands and Japan (per s.s. Makura, from Auckland, at 5 p.m., per Rarawa. Money Orders close at 3.30 p.m., Wednesday). Due London, February 17. For Australian States, South Africa, Ceylon, India, China, Straits Settlements, Eastern and Mediterranean ports, United Kingdom and Continent of Europe, at 3.55 p.m. (Correspondence for United Kingdom must be specially addressed "via Suez"). Due London, February 22. FRIDAY, JANUARY 17. For Tasmania, via Bluff, at 8.50 a.m. SATURDAY, JANUARY 18. For Australian States and South Af rica, via Auckland, per s.s.
