631 COMING BY THE lONIC.

WELLINGTON, Not. 30. A total of 631 passengers will be brought to Wellington from England by the lonic, due to-day. Of this total 494 are travelling third-class and as. such are regarded as immigrants. The number of third-class passengers who have been assisted by the Government is 164, made up of 130 adults and 34 children. They were nominated by relatives in "New Zealand, while the remainder (106 adults and saven children) were approve ed by the High Commissioner. The various occupations of the "assisteds" are. given as follows: 70 domestic servants, TS.farm laborers, 7 farmers, 1 ploughman, and 14 are wives coming out to rejoin their husbands.
