A find of Saxon silver pennies has been made at Wehvyn, Herts. They are of the reigns of Eadvig (A.D. 955-9) and Edgar (A.D. 975), both kings of Northumberland, and were coined at the Chester Mint. Nurses at the Victoria Hospital, Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, applied the garden hose to Alderman Baker and drenched him because he had criticised their work at a meeting of the hospital board.
