FRUIT-GROWERS' CONFERENCE.
SYDNEY, Oct. 23. Figures presented at the opening of the Australasian Fruit-growers' Conference showed that since 1901 the area of New South Wales orchards had decreased by a thousand acres, and the export -of fruit had also largely decreased. Mr *"cKee (New Zealand) stated that during the past four years the dominion's fruit area had increased by seven thousand acres, and was now 35,000 acres.
