. TUESDAY, OCTOBER 22, The Government Meteorologist telegraphed at 12.44 p.m. to-day: Southerly winds, moderate to strong, and veering ing south to east. The weather will probably prove cold and showery, but likely to change for the better after about 24 hours. Barometer has a rising tendency. Seas and tides considerable.
