REBELLIOUS CADETS.

At the weekly parade of the Hawera Ciidet Corps on Tuesday evening seven members were required to do 30 minutes extra, in order to become efficient. When nine o'clock came the lads refused to continue. The instructing officer called over Captain Brunt, who gave the cadets an opportunity of going on with their drill. Two said they were prepared to go. on. but the other five declined. They will now have to explain their conduct before the Stipendiary Magistrate. Four of the offenders have already appeared in Court for ilir>cr to render the personal service required of them. The lads, who expressed their willingness to do the extra parade were dismissed, and the commanding officer / allowed the work already carried out to count as full time.
