A FIJI ACCOUNTANT

AUCKLAND, Aug. 4. William Greenland, secretary of the Fiji Fruit Co., who wa3 arrested on board the Zealandia on Wednesday morning on a charge of having stolen £36 of his firm's money, was brought before the Magistrate this morning and discharged. The police received directions from Fiji advising tha-t the defendant should be permitted to return by the Makura without a police escort .Mr and Mrs Greenland left for Suva by the Makura to-night.
