TARANAKI UNION.
NORTH v. SOUTH MATCH.The Manawatu Union has notified the Taranaki Union that it will be unable to send its representative team to NewPlymouth on Thursday next as arranged. The Taranaki Union has aecordinp-lv decided to play a North v. South trial match at Stratford on Thursday afternoon next. At the conclusion of the game the team for the Northern tour will be chosen. The following is the team selected to represent the north:— Full-back: Stewart (Stratford1) •. threequarters: Bertrand (Clifton"), Bon Cameron (Stratford). L. Whitaker (Tukapa); five-eighths, J. Stohr (Tukana) and Kupe (Clifton1): half. Brown (Ttikapa): wins forward, McAllum (Star); forwards, Cain and Berndsten (Clifton^ Young (Stratford). Smith (StratfordV Hawkins (Star), Dewar (Star), Ward (Tukapa). Emergencies: Forwards, Mackay, and Carev (Okato); backs, Crowley (Clifton), Dud Cameron (Stratford). The north team will be playing in Taranaki colors, viz., amber and black, I and the south team in colors. All emer-' ! gencies are requested to b em attend- I ance at Stratford, as it is the intention of the selectors to give them all a trial. The following team will reorient the southern division :—Full-back. McLeod ; three-auarters. Hunt. Franklin, Lvnskev, five-eighths, S.
