NEW PLYMOUTH August 3. 10-day the Taranaki Herald celebrates its sixtieth anniversary, having been first published on August 4, 1852 In that period it has had practically only two proprietors—Mr Garland Woon until 1867, and Mr Henry Weston since then. In the latter period it has had only two editors. Advantage' was taken of the occasion by the staff to present the proprietor with a large photograph of the staff.
