(Received July 29, 11.40 a.m.) LONDON, July 28. During a destroyers' night attack off Spithead, in connevtion with the mobilisation of the Portsmouth garrison, a shell whizzed past the Haslar Hospital for invalided sailors, instead of being aimed at the moving targets accompanying the warships, and embedded itself in the hospital lawn without exploding. An enquiry has been opened.
