The Chamber of Deputies adopted the Electoral Reform Bill by 339 votes to 217.
M. Poincaire (the Premier) claimed that the Bill gave a majority of voters -a majority of seats.
, The Radicals created an uproar and hurled insults at the Premier, whom the supporters of proportional representation loudly cheered.
