At the last meeting of the Wellington Association,'a letter from the New Zealand Association stated that the "Challenge Shield match Taranaki v. Wellington must he played before June 8. It was decided to write to the New Zealand Association and state that it was impossible to play Taranaki before June 8, owing to the fact that the Wellington Association had already arranged to send a team to Auckland and Hawke's Bay. Further, it was decided that Wellington claimed the right under Rule 6 to negotiate with Taranaki regarding the date of the challenge match. Advice v.as received that the Auckland Hockey Association were this year catering for school boys under 16 by inaugurating a fifth grade hockey tournament. —It was decided that a future meeting should consider the question of introducing hockey into the Wellington schools, by a Saturday morning competition. It was also resolved that on the request of any club three days before a match that the match be postponed owing to the interference of the Teritorial daylight parades, the matter ?>e referred to the match committee to be be deal with.
