JJANK MANAGER ENTERTAINED

WAIPAWA, May 17. Mr George Haggitt, who was recently promoted to the managership of the JTeilding branch of the Bank of Australasia, was last night entertained at a large and representative gathering. The Mayor, who presided, alluded to Mr Haggiflt s business ability and popularity and presented him and Mrs Haggitt "with a solid silver tea service, hot water Skettle and silver-mounted oak salver, inscribed. Several prominent anen voiced the opinion that Mr Hagjgitifc'^ removal was a loss to the district, «ulogised his services to the town, and ■congratulated him on his deserved proraotion. ,
