Hares were in firstclass order, and beat most of the dogs home. Results:— MAIDEN STAKES.—First Round. Queen of Belles beat Dawn. Full Sail beat Royal Flush. Ocean Queen beat Lock wood. Happy Days beat Sailor Jack. Dean Swift beat Orakau. Queen of Song beat Counterfeit. Ashley Brook, a bye. Second Round. Full Sail beat Queen of Belles. Ocean Queen beat Happy Days, Ashley Brook beat Dean Swift. Queen of Song, a bye. OPEN STAKES.—First Round, Victoria beat Day Star. Sir Minto beat Lifeline. The finals will be coursed to-morrow, when a supplementary stake will be also held.
