WOMAN SUFFRAGE IN AUSTRIA.

The woman suffrage movement, which has hitherto found few adherents in Austria, has suddenly sprung into life in an astonishing manner. The first Austrian female suffrage conference was held in Vienna lasT> month, and was attended by numerous representatives from the provinces, as well as by a large local gathering. All the Vienna leaders ot the women's agitation, mostly ladies belonging to well-known patrician families, were present. It was resolved to demand equal and direct electoral rights fo>- women for all representative bodies. At Prague also a meeting' took place of representatives of all the Czech female organisations, and a resolution was passed to demand active electoral rights. The Ozech teacher, Mis?
