COUNTER LUNCHES.
TEN THOUSAND DAILY
by cable—press asoociation—copyright. SYDNEY, May 9. Since the increase in the price of meals publicans estimate that the number of persons who partake of counter lunches has increased by 25 per cent., and now amounts to ten thousand daily.
The secretary of the .Licensed Victuallers' Association foreshadows the early abolition of counter lunches, and an increase in the price of drinks is also suggested.
