AUCKLAND, May 5. A fire occurred in a two-storied house occupied by James Bottl, in Beresford street, early this morning, the house being almost entirely destroyed. The occupants, Bottl and his wife and six children and two countrymen of Bottl's, escaped with great difficulty, practically nothing being saved. There was no insurance on the furniture. The house was owned by Mr Coles, of Onehunga. The insurance is not available.
